I was asking when capitalism has failed outright. It's proven that socialism will do that. Despite the 'rich get richer' (thats their right if they choose to, even though a lot of the rich are charitable) capitalism hasnt failed. So why change to something that does? Yes, on paper throwing our daily concerns on the government is an easy fix...it makes us lose responsibility for being pieces of shit and not having coverage. But it doesnt work...why dont you understand that?

Capitalism fails the poor of our country every single day. Some days more than others. But hey, its their fault for being weak right? The systematic structures don't screw them at all.

Socialism has never truthfully been tried. Do not equate communism to socialism, they are not the same (while quite similar I will concede). While it may seem like I am at times, I am not in favor of socialism in its purest sense. It would be far too inefficient as you say. In its original form, socialism relies on a command economy. Command economies are horrendously inefficient compared to a market economy. If someone can hybridize socialism to make it more reactant to people's needs, then sure it sounds nice. Still have my doubts about how effective it would be in practice, but ideally socialism creates a perfect and ideal world of absolute equality.

However I don't see socialism becoming America's economic philosophy any time soon. When you introduce private property into a society and let that mindset permeate through the country for hundreds of years, it becomes nigh impossible to take their property away.

So what happens when things like groceries become to expensive because people are trying to make a profit off of it? Will you want government subsidized grocery stores? When and where do you set the limit on what the government is in control of? This hybridized socialism wont work because eventually the government will end up taking everything over anyway. Capitalism is not failing us now and truly hasnt, because the government made a string of decisions to unbalance the economy, such as forcing people that werent qualified to be able to get credit anyway for things they couldnt afford. The Bush bailout was bad enough, and then Obama's unprecedented spending made things even worse, and they claim we're out of the recession when inflation hasnt had time to set in. Had things been allowed to even out on their own, they would have because no one can make a profit on anything when everyone is going broke...isnt that basic economics? This 'rich get richer waaaahhhh' bullshit is some of the dumbest logic ive ever heard...you're so jealous that you havent done anything useful with yourselves that you want to take away from someone else? just get a job theres plenty of opportunities when our president isnt making the unemployment rate double digits

I've been around healthcare businesses since early high school. I helped a family friend start his own damn business, come on now. I've volunteered at hopsitals for entire summers at a time. I've argued healthcare debates. I've given businesses the low-down for getting approval by places like Blue Cross Blue Shield of Ohio. This isn't even including the hundreds of articles i've read. I know how this shit works. If you and squeezer want to label me as a typical college kid, you can, i honestly don't think i could care less. But, when it comes to the hardcore facts, what really matters here, you're clueless my friend. Healthcare isn't your strong point at all. over the internet call me anything you want. But we both know, when it comes to healthcare, I'm much much more knowledgeable than you, and I've proven that.
