  • Starbucks "Via" new Instant Coffee

So they pushed this crap on people today at my local Starbucks. I personally did not want to try it or even go into the store, but the people of whom I had lunch with wanted to try it.

So it was better than Sanca and will attract people under 70 to try it perhaps? I found it to be sub par on the scale of getting a fresh 24 Oz. at my local 7-11 for roughly about the same price of what this crap will cost.

Personally, I am not a fan of Starbucks, but will on a rare day splurge for a Venti Quad Soy Latte...but it is a rare thing for me to do.

I would rather stick with Dunkin Dougnuts or 7-11 for my coffee. I just do not see the market for another instant coffee, of which will be more expensive than your typical instants like Maxwell House or for the senior citizen's...Sanca.

They claim it tastes "almost as good" as fresh brewed. So why not just brew a cup with the single makers they have? I use my Starbucks purchased single cup, cone filtered maker with fresh ground Dunkin's beans every day. Cheaper, takes 2 minutes and minimal cleanup...are people just to f'n lazy to brew a cup of coffee anymore?

Anyone else try this instant coffee today? If not, hit up your S-Bucks, as they are supposed to be giving samples away free all day today!
May your shit come to life and kiss you on the face.

Living in Seattle, i refuse to buy starbucks because of that piece of shit Howard Schultz and him selling the SuperSonics to OKC, thus them leaving.

Looking out my window here at my work, i can see the Starbucks Headquarters on 1st ave, and i wish someone would blow that motherfucker up.

instant coffee sucks, no way around it.

Starbucks specialty drinks are the only thing worth buying, only problem is they cost $5-6. I still enjoy their green tea frappuccino, it's pretty awesome.
it makes me sick when i think of it, all my heroes could not live with it so i hope you rest in peace cause with us you never did

Starbucks is alright, I used to drink my tall bold every day :x

For ridiculous instant coffee, you have to look at Farcoast coffee. Owned by Coca-Cola, it's a whole store that only sells instant coffee but is made to look upscale. Needless to say the Toronto location closed after a few months.

I know of some people who will just strictly drink Starbucks coffee because it's what they are accustomed to. This "Via" thing will probably just attract those people who are too pretentious to drink any other kind of coffee.

I was at Starbucks a lot during my vacation in the US and Canada cause my mom thinks that's one of the few places that actually makes good coffee. I mostly drank Frappucino's

You go to Starbuck's because you hear it's one of the few places that has good coffee (wrong) but you order a Frappucino???!!

I don't drink coffee. My mom did.

And she found some other places where she liked the coffee, but for people that are constantly travelling a place like Starbucks is way easier than trying to find a different good place each time.

Edit: And the Dutch have a completely different perception of what makes good coffee than most Americans from what I have heard and stuff.

cause if you shared the same viewpoint as Americans, it wouldn't make you Dutch amirite?
