The reason I doubt you could handle the job is not because it is particularly difficult mentally, but because of the strict guidance on things that you have to do/wear, and since you have problems with not wearing pajamas in a place of business, im pretty sure you'd struggle.

sigh theres a difference between being a doctor (like i think you are? not sure) and going to school for that where you actually will use a lot of what you learn in school and a regular job where you'll almost never use any of the material you learn in college. You guys should be around the age that you start to realize that and the ones that have been out of college for a while will tell you that.

The irony is that I'm a speech class away from an associates degree with some extra clepped credit thrown in, so im pretty much on the same level as education despite not sitting in a college classroom all day as a full time job. Anyways epi you and I both know that experience trumps college with no experience any day so theres your 'moot point'. The options I have available in 3 short years are to go overseas and take a contract job in al udeid for ~120k/year, one in the US for around 70k which goes up or down depending on area, or stay where i am on easy street. Wouldnt say thats bad with no bachelors. Pretty amazing what a security clearance does for you eh?

And panda, if you think i was referring just to wearing nice clothes to a normal job you're very wrong. I was talking about instructions that govern most of what you do at work, most of which serving some purpose but some being utterly useless. Well her point was that you'd have as much trouble figuring out the math in her actuary class as much as she'd have wearing proper attire for work.

It's kind of a dumb comparison overall, which is why it's a moot point really.

Everything else that everyone said about college being easy is superfluous to her point. However much money you think you'll make in a few years is also completely beside the point as much as if I started bragging about the same.

I applied for a pre-med research internship at sloan kettering in NY. I am trying to offset my lack of prior research with community service leadership experience.

BTW: have you noticed for these programs expect us to be AT their offices by dates ranging from june 1-10, but our finals are june 6-9. They show no love.
