Okay I am mainly basing this on; social structures, economy and industry, education, political stability (liberalism), foreign politics, corruption. I will only mention the countries I can grasp.
A
Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Luxemburg
B
Norway, Netherlands, Belgium, France, Switzerland, Finland
C
Spain, Austria, Greece, Portugal
D
Italy, Czech, Poland, Turkey, Romania, Ireland, Russia
E
Bulgaria, Iceland, Croatia, Serbia & Montenegro, Latvia, Lithuana, Estonia, Moldavia.
In my opinion only the A countries are worth migrating to. The B and C countries are okay to live in. The D countries are worth migrating from when you have something going for you, but are generally as good as the B and C countries. The E countries are fine countries to live in, but they might have strong disadvantages. Be it bankruptcy, poverty or political instability.
Sweden is my opinion the best country to live in. It's a liberal country with a social structure that should be an example to us all. The only downside might be the climate.
Edit: I might have to count the UK as Europe too, even if they don't really do themselves.
C
England, Scotland
D
Wales
E
Northern-IrelandYou ate some priest porridge

I would never move to any of the A- countries, perhaps only Germany.

I vote Sweden for best country too. From what I studied in my geography classes and personal experience, it has one of the highest GDP in the world, Luxembourg has the highest though. So if you were to move there, finding a white collar job shouldn't be too hard. It has nearly no pollution at all, plus universal health care. Culture wise I've only listened to a lot of music from there, plus one movie about lesbian teenagers. It can be cold most of the year, but it's not a notable problem if you live in the lower half of the country. It hasn't been involved in war in like 300 years now, so while living there you wouldn't be drafted or randomly attacked by terrorist. And the girls there... yeah. I wanna move there when I'm older. There or to the northwestern US.

America is the best country hands down. No matter what you think of our government and policies dosen't matter to us. Most Americans, despite what you hear from online nerds who think too much, love our country and would not want to live anywhere else. Nobody is perfect, and if they claim to be so then they are just dillusional. Love where you come from, no matter what other people think. I love being an American. Don't think I could ever see myself living anywhere else.2 time TWLD runner up.
If not a medal, cant I get a Ribbon??

By your logic, having 100% pride in nationalism makes the country you live in the best country in the world... What about those who feel the same way you do who live in like say.. Italy, China, Peru or where the fuck ever else. Does that make their country the best in the world too? See your reason is too broad, please narrow it down to why it is better rather than just saying because you love it so much and rather not live anywhere else. Cause right now some dude in Japan said the same thing, but knowing those crazy Asian fucks, he probably produced a pie chart and a power point presentation with animation giving sound reasoning why his country rocks more than yours.sigpic

And in contemporary society, it's only natural for citizens to develop strong pride in their own countries...the developmental process of engraving the notion of nationalism into people's minds, essentially begins from the moment one pops out of their mother's womb (and especially in school!), so it's deeply rooted!
Anyway, people will agree on some things and disagree on other things. Like they say, what may be trash to someone may be a pot of gold to someone else. So don't hate on his opinion because it's his opinion, not yours

His arguments are still stupid. He reasons America is the best hands down because most Americans wouldn't want to live anywhere else. Most Dutch people wouldn't want to live anywhere else than the Netherlands, most British people wouldn't want to live anywhere else than Britain, most Swedish people wouldn't want to live anywhere else than Sweden, etc. etc. etc. It doesn't even have to do with Nationalism, but more with that the country you were born and raised in is what you know, the culture is what you know and the language is what you know.
Don't worry, I don't expect any American to say any other country is better, or at least not one on these boards here (I do know a few who think so). Personally, I feel that I am lucky to be born in the Netherlands and having the opportunities that I have, but I also quite like Sweden, Spain and Canada (or British Columbia) and I am not that tied down to my roots. For instance, I would like to live in London for a few years, and Manhattan, those would both be temporary though. I could see myself living on Vancouver Island, Sweden and Spain.Maybe God was the first suicide bomber and the Big Bang was his moment of Glory.
