    DVD Ripping Software

    Anyone have a suggestion for an easy/quick/simple DVD to AVI ripping program? Preferably FREE!

    The catch: has to be able to break encrypted DVDs.

    edit: anyDVD isn't free, I think DVDshrink is a good bet too.

        Why you looking for something free? You are obviously up to ripping dvd's that shouldn't be ripped, so just torrent the program...

            What I do is run dvd decrypter in IFO mode and decrypt. Then I take the .ifo file and run it through AutoGK, and then I have a nice high quality dvd to avi rip. AutoGK is free and is a great program.

                I have a few programs that burned 1.1 copies for old school DVD's, but will not record Blue Ray.

                I would have done what Galleleo noted.

                  http://dvd43.com: This application will help with any encryption issues you might have. I haven't gotten a chance to use it, but I've heard good stuff.

                  HandBrake: http://handbrake.fr: I use HandBrake for a ton of video conversion tasks at work. I like it a lot.

                  Those two apps should get you going.
