Oh I have to work tomorrow but I am drunk again tonight, and since I always have longer attention span when I have had alcohol, I thought it is appropriate to start another of my 'philosophy thread'.

Here is a few questions that's just happen to pop into my mind:

1) Do you sympathize with the joker in Dark Knight?

Has he not been speaking the truth? Despite his sadistic nature, he tends to speak what we, the intellectuals are afraid to say. 'some people just want to burn'. I mean if someone is smart enough to figure out how most of things suppose to work in reasonably short duration of time, wouldn't (s)he being bored? Why would anyone should be punished for their superior mental capability?

Speaking of which, I think we are placing too much faith for people to not pressing that button. I know people in real life will.

2)Job hopping, just how often is too often?

I have stayed in my current job for about 2 year and have stayed in my last job for about the same amount time, given I am working in software development (in finance), if I am thinking of change again, is it too soon?

3) Strength

I might be a weirdo and refuse to conform, but in order to do so, don't I suppose to be intelligent enough to see why I should not conform and strong enough enough to fend off retribution?

I need to conform because nature needs me to be a sheep and be controlled and herded like a sheep n order to achieve its goal, but why should I be just like everyone else to achieve a goal that is not mine?

if you're job hopping, as long as your pay is increasing noticeably every time then sure why the hell not.

confirming when taken at the margin (individuals), is a self-fulfilling prophecy. It works like a market, everyone is intent on making profit, minimizing costs, and consumer preference dynamism. With this self-perpetuating, self-driven goal inside of each marketeer, each seller institutionalizes itself as a important cog in the watch that is that market.

example: you need money. So you get a job. Bam, conformity. You're giving into the man, you're being shepherded into a life of societal service simply by YOU attaining to your own individual needs. Amazing isn't it? Every rational person seeking self- actualization and attaining to their own needs, makes society more efficient, better.. To me this seems too good to be true. But think about it. There are thousands of relationships like these. A strong example of this is mutualism in plant world, symbiotic relationships like these benefit all organisms involve.

You will confirm whether you like it or not. You want to be an anti-conformist? Live like a hobo, show em who's boss.

As I have always said, I don’t know whether we are always used and abused by nature, even the smartest, most powerful and richest of us all.

Power and money, they are simple, just something to keep us under control. We work to acquire power and money, yet we waste out best years to not fulfil our own dreams to get that power and money we so desired. But for what? Should I not be spending my year go after my own goal than those society think I should be aim at?

So after all those year, when we are 60, 70’s when we no longer can cause any harm, we are allowed to achieve our goals (travel, read, try thing). Isn’t it too late then?

Love, it is even a more powerful tool of nature to get us comply to its goal. Its purpose is for us to comply and produce children that adaptive to the environment. But why would we sacrifice so much to product children? Reason is simple, for love of our partners who we have children with and the rest of the society who we immediate associate with.

p.s. I suspect my real life colleagues/friends read my posts (I never told them my involvement on this forum, but I guess it is not hard to find out anyways). I will not go on further.
