I guess you are talking about the thousands of Christianity based off shoots on Christianity that all interpret The Bible and god in its own way? How astute.
Much of Christianity split before the canonization, and in a number of cases the existence, of the Bible. These splits often had very little to do with differences in interpretation of the sacred scriptures themselves. Nice try.

So these Christian ideals that create freedom and respect for all people, where is the room for the gay people in there? Where is the room for the freedom to decide over your own body?
Christianity isn't one single denomination, nor is it one single ideological current. Do you live under a rock?
Tagmor is right anyways, besides homosexuality isn't natural therefore it is looked down on. It isn't a crime to be gay in America but it is a religious crime if you will for a gay couple to want to be married under god at a church by a preacher/pastor because it specifically talks about homosexuality being a sin in the bible which is where the first real mention of a "marriage" takes place.
I don't think most people who dislike fags, like myself, would mind if faggots could have "civil unions" or some shit like that, but leave the religious words, ideas, and principles that are forbid by the teachings of the bible itself out of it. It isn't really possible to even begin to compare radicalized Islam with Christianity in its modern form. Sure like 100 years ago back to 1000 years ago there were things like the crusades and a general bloody spreading of Christianity, but I think for the most part Christians haven't been part of this for a while. Islam however is different, they have a believe as we believe or die mentality about our religion even in this day and age. And the biggest difference between us now is that here in America and I know over in other countries in Europe Islamic "groups" or groups speaking on behalf of Islam pretty much write the rules on how that specific land is governed by threat of terrorism. Islamist people tend to not only stick together in a country, but not change themselves to how the country thinks and acts, instead they forcefully attempt to change the way the country and the people in a country think. It is a political/judicial takeover brought to you by the amazing PC movement that has happened across the globe. This is why just like the US is beholden in China because of economic reasons many countries in Europe have their hands tied behind their back when it comes to freeing known terrorists, not speaking up further against the atrocities happening around the world by extreme Islamists, and even other stupid shit as forcing a police department in Scotland to stop sending out a christmas card with their stations dog on it because the Muslims in the area think that dogs go against the teachings of their religion.
I don't see how you couldn't see that their religion preaches anything but hatred when you look around the globe and look at the leaders of the most powerful countries afraid to mention Radical Islamist in reports about terrorist attacks perpetrated by them.
