i played it, became an archer who wasn't allowed to shoot arrows, got killed by rabbits and slime, and when i respawned some japanese NPC would make fun of me in broken engrish.

but i tried it...did the newbie tutorial grounds things, personality test, a few times had a hard time what it was trying to say... but i am suppose to be an archer from the results of the personality test, i try to apply for an archer job but the guy denies me, so i try to go level up but end up dying 100x to a bat in the cave...

i'm pretty bad at this game^

Okay I downloaded this giant piece of Vaporware, and played a bit. Then I got really bored. Seriously, it seems like there're about 40 weapons and 40 pieces of armor in the entire game, and about as many monsters. And there's very little to do other than cntrl+click on stuff. If someone would like to clue me in to the "fun" part of this game, by all means please do.

Sure is pretty though.

I don't know whats going on with ragnarok, I do know that it has much to offer but due to the average 10,000 players per shard it's hard to actually get 30 minutes in without the client crashing. You have to get level 10 then you can choose a job to presue I'm going to be a mage. I'm currently level 6 novice and 4 levels away from training to be a mage. These MMORPGS wont compare to WoW .

As for being an archer, it is perhaps the worst class to start out with as you need good equipment to start killing without dying. I'd actually recommend you play a swordsman or thief first, but if u insist, here are some things u might find handy

If you plan to be an Agility Archer (but of course dex is important to increase arrow dmg), u will need to know what monsters u can dodge almost perfectly.

THE GUIDE TO BECOMING AND LEVELLING AS AN ARCHER, AND EVEN INTO YOUR 2nd CLASS JOB, HUNTER.
Read the Archer stuff, and don't worry about the Hunter stuff yet

My word of advice is that for archers, u have to designate for yourself a time to LEVEL your character and when to earn money (zeny). If you plan to earn money, go to an easy area where u can kill enemies in 3 shots max, collect the loot and sell. If you plan to level your archer, pack yourself a load of red potions (40z each from merchants), and go to a harder area and find yourself a nice sniping point, while not worrying about the loot that drops, unless it is something of great value such as equipment, cards, or rares.

Don't get too bored in the first 20 levels, you'll slowly find more interest as the enemies get harder and have more variation.
