ska was sort of the first, it developed into reggae with that "dub" sound. compare bands like the specials and the skatalites and operation ivy to bands like 311 and the expendables. the only thing that they really share is that offbeat guitar riffing, which is a key component of ska but not 100% required in reggae music. (basically, reggae is ska with added different stylings to make it 'reggae')

i, personally, wouldn't call sublime ska but there are alot more people who would.

been doin alright. just quit my job at the local pizza place. lookin' to start running at a law firm, or working as a technician at a local library. 91 hours of college, so like ~1 year til i graduate, which is weird because it means i have to start making resumes, and i'm not ready for the real world.

i just got done rebuilding the front of my pickup truck. in the past two years i've had it, i've almost replaced the entire truck, bit by bit. which leads me to a question: if i took all the old parts, and made a pickup truck out of it, which one would be "my" pickup truck?!

I managed to eat my sushi and go to the beach before the tarballs arrived (even though I got towed for parking illegally even though everyone else parked the same way seeing as there was no spaces on memorial day)
