  • Passionate people are selfish?

I always thought it is my right to pursue my passions, yet some people told me I am neglecting my responsibilities.

If my life serve no higher purpose, then why should I care about responsibilities. Or am I supposed to fulfil my role in nature - to do beneficial things to the society, to produce offsprings to sustain the human race. In short, to serve nature and its goals. Why can't my goal be of higher priority to that of natures. What purpose exactly does nature’s goals serve then?

If everyone cares about their own happiness and is successful then everyone is happy. Is it better than to serve a purpose that no one understand why we serve, and suffer in the process?

I am getting paid more in my current role and doing less than my last job, and yet I am so terribly bored.

I am looking for a passion that I can not do without, the kind of passion that you wake up every morning and look forward to, the passion that inspires you, the one makes you going that extra mile.

But does that passion exist, is it worthy to have?

I envy people who chase after their dreams. I wish they never ever wake up. To me, they are the happiest of us all.

Maybe what they looking for does not exist, maybe what they chase is trivial, but as long as far as it makes them happy, then it is all good …

If you base our own purpose on other peoples opinions who's purpose are you really serving?

If you base happiness on existence every day will be a great day, when you base happiness on anything more then this you will be like an unquenchable cup that is never full.

Resistance, conflict, your past and your planned future will always keep you unhappy.

      Hope this helps

they don't seem to get angered by it that much either and it all seems to be in the same cross section imho

telcat, i am sorry but you are just a normal person. when people talk about the 'average joe', you are the average joe. stop trying to become self-aware and instead fufill your duty as a space-filling mass of meat. when civilizations rise, they rise on your crushed and oppressed back, and when they fall, it is people like you who are relegated to the non-existence of the history people don't care about. to question your existence is like a cog questioning its role in the machine. you should just go to work and get off work and stare at a wall or a tv until you are tired, go to sleep, rinse wash repeat. maybe read a book, but the better option is to read a book about books, it's much more satisfying and yet you don't have to learn anything that would ultimately destroy your role in this world. stay safe, warm and fuzzy in your cocoon of ig'nance. there are people in this world who succumb to nature, and there are those who can bend the will of nature to suit their purpose. you are of the third estate, the people who sometimes get mistaken for nature, the stagnant, never-changing background of the rich reality that some voyage through in life.

                  in conclusion, do asian porn.

Sounds like you have contemplated your life longer than we were aware of. No need to be asshamed to be one of the third kind in your own description.

BTW, don't mean to disappoint you, you can use nature to suit your need or even abuse the nature (and most likely you will get burnt), but no one has the ability to bend the will of nature to suit their purpose. Bending the will of the people, however, is a different matter.

You talk about nature in a weird way. Nature isn't alive setting goals for people. There is an ecosystem that requires certain aspects to remain intact in order for the system to continue functioning at its current state.

The act of having children or not having children isn't going to throw any ecosystem out of balance. There is an inherent desire for women to produce offspring just as there is in men. This is evident by one's sex drive. However, psychological factors can affect one's libido.

For example, if you're experiencing a decline in your sex drive and/or a decline in your desire to eat, you might be experiencing depression.

If you're not experiencing any such declines, and you simply don't have an interest in having children at this time, then you are being responsible. Having children is a huge undertaking and to take the stance, "I'm not ready to have children," is being responsible.

All you need to understand as a woman is that if you DO want to have children someday, then there is a biological clock ticking away. But, it's not somethig you should rush into, needless to say.

And, until you're ready to make it your own, you're not going to have a pleasent experience anyways. It would be wise to explore your emotions regarding pregnancy and children and parenting before having children.

Other than that, now is the perfect time to explore your passions and to find the joy in your life, so that when you do decide to have children, you can share that with them.

Unfortunately we live in a society and human are social animals, which makes not listen to other peoples' opinions a bit difficult.

And things we do tend to have consequences, people who only look at the very immediate future tend to bring misery to themselves in the long run.
