Personally, I think some arm twisting will get her to back down, else she'll have an emotional melt down from a crushing primary defeat.

The smear campaign worked way too well on her, she isn't a viable candidate anymore. Someone like Romney or DeMint or any of the other repubs that have been talking major shit to liberals about less government intrusion make a much better candidate. I mean I am sure that most of it is bullshit but they say what we want to hear so.

As a Republican I would never vote for Palin. Whoever runs against her in the primary would get my vote or i would just choose to not vote at all.

I think Marco Rubio should think about a run in 2012 depending on what happens the next year. I would say it's guaranteed we see him run in 2016 or 2020 (depending on what happens in 2012). I really enjoyed his acceptance speech the other night (one of the few I caught) because he touched on many things I'm upset about and he realizes that everyone in Washington is to blame for the mess, not just the Democrats.

edit: young, smart republicans like that are the only reason i haven't switched party affiliation to libertarian or ACP just to be obnoxious.

If the Republicans are smart they'll elect anyone who isn't Sarah Palin in 2012.

But they aren't. Rubio would be a competitive choice but I doubt they'll let a Tea Party guy with only 2 years in the House run on their ticket. He might end up being the best choice as the country doesn't really like Huckabee, Boehner, DeMint, and the other Republican leadership anymore than they do the Dems.

Sarah Palin, on the other hand, isn't smart enough to be realistic and probably thinks highly enough of her reputation to run on her own if she doesn't win the primary. She's got the money and the ambition, but good luck selling that to the American people. Besides that, she's making way too much as a commentator to deal with the political shitstorm again.

Most likely Obama gets a second term in a pyrrhic victory over the Republican nobody. I'd love for Palin to run and split the votes, but I don't know if that's going to happen.

I would vote for Boehner honestly, Perry I would vote for over Obama, to be fair he does do a good job managing the economy in Texas, that alone should get most people to like him. Especially considering Texas has created more jobs and has a bigger gdp than most nations in the world.
