South Korea says it has scrambled F-16 fighter jets and returned fire after North Korea shot dozens of rounds of artillery (rockets) onto a populated South Korean island near the countries' western border.
    http://www.emirates247.com/news/worl...11-23-1.320187

"Houses and mountains are on fire and people are evacuating. You can't see very well because of plumes of smoke," a witness on the island told YTN. "People are frightened to death and shelling continues as we speak."

It seems North Korea is just fed up with dealing with everyone's nagging after reading this article from yesterday: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-pacific-11813699

I think N.Korea did that with that S.Korean Navy Ship that "mysteriously" sunk near N.Korean borders.

Yah but you can't say that the US will not intervene for the sake of S.Korea if things escalate. Then China's just right around the corner for trucing with N.Korea.

                      OR maybe I'm just paranoid.
