treme is a show about post-katrina new orleans. created by the same fine gentleman who brought us the wire (david simon). i was wondering if anyone's been watching this? i'm finally completely finished with the wire and i burned through the walking dead far too quickly. it's either treme or perhaps dexter as far as what's sitting on deck.

just looking to see if this will be anywhere near as good as the wire. it has quite a lot of carry over in the way of actors.

also, if you know of any other utterly amazing shows i'm missing out on, please do tell. i wanna sink my teeth into some brilliant television over my holiday break.

Dexter is still good, but not as good as the first seasons.

Personally I think Treme is again an excellent show with good music.

i caught wind of boardwalk empire when i was browsing around metacritic last ngiht. definitely going to check that out. AC is in my backyard, so it'll be neat to check out the history of the area.

I only saw the first 2 episodes of treme (on an airplane)
I was trying to figure out if they were actually playing their instruments, or if they just fake it over a soundtrack. I can't watch it if I know they are faking it, it actually drives me a little mad.

You mean the season ended? Because the show didn't.

It had it moments, but definitely wasn't one of the best. It'll be interesting to see where they go next.

i'm holding off on dexter simply because i don't have it downloaded yet. i recently got hit with a copyright infringement notice from verizon for torrenting a tagged copy of inception. gonna lay off anymore downloading for a few weeks until i can clear some invites to private trackers and a couple of usenet groups.

all of those other shows i listed i already have downloaded.
