  • Attn: Dutch people, we need advice

So for our annual Amsterdam trip we have decided to find a forest, or any form of free outdoor nature where we can eat shrooms without being bothered by people. Some random google mapping found a place called Amsterdamse Bos which looks great, and then another place to the north of Amsterdam that also looked like a forest.

Is there any place not too far away from Amsterdam you would recommend?

well if u go outside a'dam too much u go outside holland,....

anyway since i have no clue myself i did a quick search on 'staatsbosbeheer':

Near A'dam you have: Zuid-Kennemerland or Hollands Duin, both sound nice dunes + forests.. (i've never been to either myself..)

u could also go to one of the 'Waddeneilanden' like Terschelling, good place to just chill for a few days do drugs/get stupid drunk without anyone bothering u... but yeah that would be a trip for 3-4 days prob..

ps. wont be doing shrooms with u guys. i say no to drugs (except some occasional weed)

Have you done shrooms in a forest before?
It can be quite intense due to the sporadic nature of the tree forms, the constant variations in field/depth of vision, animals, sound of wind, and the feeling of being surrounded/unable to leave.

edit: I was going to post a story I wrote about taking PCP in the forest but it seems stonerz.net no longer exists.

i wish i could go, we could wander the lands of holland and discuss how Maurice of Nassau once stood on these plains and developed a revolutionary method of combat which would eventually become linear warfare. seriously, it seems so simple to let one person shoot, and have someone from behind him move forwards and continue the volley while the first person is reloading. but from maurice, he must have felt like a GOD.

of course, it would be useless without traveling the fishy lands of sweden, where gustavus aldolphus perfected the system. and then we'd have to go to prussia to see where Frederick the Great perfected his oblique maneuver at leuthen in 1757. and then probably to france to see how napoleon revolutionized the use of artillery. etc. etc. etc.
