Yeah, Meshuggah is absolutely nuts. I don't understand them at all. You cannot possibly need all 12 strings.

Primus isn't metal, but I do dig them a lot as well. And for some reason, I can't stand Kyuss. Can't explain it though. Sevendust's first album was pretty heavy, too. Can't remember what it was called, though.

Sevendust's first album was self titled, then they made Home, which I thought was just as heavy. I even enjoyed Animosity there for a while even though it was watered down.

Kyuss - One inch man has one of the best riffs around. But you're right, the rest is ordinary. Until QotSA was formed. W00T! They also have a few good metal tracks; You think I ain't worth a dollar but I feel like a millionaire, Tension head, even Song for the dead. Basically any sung by Mark Lanegan could be metal.

Yea, Primus isn't metal, but I have all their records except for Brown album, then I have Sausage album (Les with some other ppl) which is cool too, and two live albums of Frog Brigade...2nd cd is note by note live cover of Pink Floyd's Animals.

Heh, I love Kyuss, but QotSA, I only have thier first album, they didn't do much for me later on.

Acid bath, what can I tell you, try with slower songs like Fingerpaintings of the insane (from first album) and Venus blue and Bleed me an ocean (from second). Those are maybe easier to get into, but it's southern sludge (I can't stand Cradle of filth)

Tomahawk is good too, I like first album more, but Patton is the man, starting with FNM and mr. Bungle, Fantomas too...it's not for everyone tho.

Rollins band is heavy too....I am Hank...rrraaawrrr

Rollins Band is kinda bluesy, not really that heavy at all. Still love them, though.

Noah, you asked for heavier, I supplied. I don't listen to much death metal myself, it bores me a bit. (I do like Lamb of God, though)

Rated R blows big time, but Songs For The Deaf is a vast improvment, its just one big drum solo from Dave Grohl, go get it. Oh, and punk rock baby!
