How do you expect me to take you seriously when you start bringing up "evil fox news and their terrible conservative bias" but refuse to believe that people could be right when it comes to vaccines possibly having bad side effects. Well basically its pointless pulling up numbers to epi because it would just cause the circular argument of "that website isn't reputable" and then I would say "well the reputable websites lie to you" blah blah blah. I mean I guess I could go try to pull numbers from the FDA website but then again they also allow dangerous drugs through to be sold every year so I guess that isn't my definition of reputable.

If whatever you link to is an actual study, with actual facts, and that study was released with the idea that it would be peer reviewed, debated, and that study's findings were not refuted later then I will believe you. If it is merely an opinion piece on some random website, obviously it has no credibility.

But really it boils down to eugenics, the infant mortality rate speaks for itself in two countries (The US and Canada) that should have better rates than third world nations. There is a direct correlation between IMR and # of vaccines given.

What exactly are you arguing here, I don't understand. Are you saying that because we have better infant mortality rates in the US and Canada than the developing world (which you state is directly correlated to the fact that we give more vaccines) that we're participating in eugenics? Huh? At least you agree that vaccines saves lives.

And there are plenty of people (Bill Gates for instance) who even admit that the world is too populated and they would hope to see the worlds population decrease 10-15% in the next X years through things such as vaccines. And then the guy goes out and donates a ton of money and makes programs to make sure everyone gets their shots! What a philanthropist.

This comment is curious as well. It almost sounds like you agree that Bill Gates is someone who actually follows what he talks about and that is somehow a bad thing? So would you rather Bill say that he wants to decrease the birth rate by 10-15% by making kids healthier in the 3rd world so that people have less children and we have less population strain in this world, but then not give any money to it when he has a foundation dedicated to giving away money? Vaccines contain less Mercury itself but have just substituted it for an equally dangerous heavy metal/chemical, it doesn't mean they are safer.

What's your point? What are the numbers of people who actually got GBS vs the numbers of people potentially saved by this vaccine? For every medical intervention that we undertake it's understood that there are potential serious side effects to them. As an example 5% of people who might have a risky surgery "X" may die, but we still do the surgery anyway because people understand that 95% will be saved.

Remember I stated a while back that individuals can get away with not vaccinating themselves, and that is a personal choice. I am for vaccines in general though, and yes I get the flu shot every year myself.

Yeah you single out one bad research study and use it as your "poster child" argument against vaccines being unsafe. I mean look how many people still believe in global warming even after the east anglia emails got leaked suggesting they fraudulently changed the data to make it seem like global warming was real.

Never mind that those leaked e-mails were later shown to have no appreciable difference to the actual overwhelming evidence FOR global warming. I guess you don't have to believe it because it doesn't matter. Within your own lifetime your beloved Texas will probably turn more and more into a desert, but that's besides the point.

LOL looks like I hit a nerve. I bring up FOX because they have the most talking heads. I guess CNN, CNBC and other cable news networks are also pretty crappy too. I'm sure the actual news part they show is acceptable, but the editorial people like Glenn Beck who just randomly assert things is not news, it's opinion and you buy into that crap like it's real.

I am just finding it funny that you are sitting here telling me that global warming is real despite having proof that it is a lie based on emails from EA itself. Those emails are posted on reputable websites for anyone to read. I mean you basically admitted to what I was getting at from the get go, that there is actually is a correlation between vaccines and medical problems and conditions. Next time just say "you are right vaccines can cause health problems but in my opinion the benefits outweigh the risks" instead of "you are dead wrong vaccines are totally safe".

Also lets just be clear about something, I don't want to hear any bullshit about how the medical profession is free from shitty people. If you want to sit here and tell me that every doctor wants what is actually best for his patient and no doctors get kickbacks from drug companies to push their drugs, or that doctors don't over prescribe drugs to kids, or that drug companies themselves would rather have people stay on a drug for their entire lives instead of actually finding cures to diseases then you are full of shit. So I am sorry if I don't believe everything a doctor, a researcher, or a study tells me is accurate.
