@fit of rage: in gimp, the frame layers aren't exactly what they're supposed to be converted to, so I'm not able to do it in gimp. I'll give it another try though. Each layer has only part of the picture from each frame, it's so confusing.

ok, this is as good as i can do



i wound up having to go to http://www.online-image-editor.com/ and splitting up the gif into separate images cuz GIMP doesn't do it correctly, then i saved each picture (frame) (which I had to then put in order cuz the site didn't do that) to my computer and then load everything into GIMP as different layers and then add a hat to each layer at the right pixel point



was a fun 1am project i always try to find ways to keep myself up late for some reason
