...I plan to run and hide in an isolated location. Where should I go? I was thinking of somewhere nice and warm but I'm sure everyone else will be thinking the same thing so maybe somewhere cold? Maybe Northern Canada or Alaska? Preferably near some form of water source like a river or lake. Sorta like Jeremiah Johnson.

I alreayd have my plan for that type of thing, my grandmother lives on a lake in northern ontario with a one way road going in and out so i plan to go there so i can see whos coming, plus with the woods behind me theres deer and bears and shit to kill, and a nice fishing lake for food, also already a few gardens to grow crops in, and 3 guns already in that location along with all sorts of other shit.7:RoDNeY> u dont know what afk means u think it means the arab way of saying KFCComment

got land near lake bisteneau, and 5mins from tgat my best friend owns a lakehouse with a dock and a few boats. plus I just wrote a paper on confederate defenses around Shreveport and along the red river so I have a little idea on long-term security as well. lotta countryside, lotta rivers and waters. natural and artificial levees.
problem: across the river is barksdale AFB. lotta nukes, it's a significant complication in any apocalyptic scenario. if there was a nuclear threat I would have to head either east or west. the nearest geographic stronghold is Vicksburg, I guess I'll have to stop there sometime and scope it out?!Comment

Well I live in California so if chaos occured while I'm still in L.A., I need a plan that doesn't involve me having to cross extremely large bodies of waters (like oceans). I'm only assuming that planes will be unable to travel or it would be dangerous to do so assuming that there are no more FAA or any kind of guided flight plans and I don't know. I don't think I'll find myself in Ireland when shit hits the fan considering the logistics involved.Comment
