I was always under the impression that Scandinavia is Sweden, Norway, and Denmark because those three had strong ties back in the day (and still do). Geographically, it's because Denmark is the Penis that juts into the vaginal opening between Sweden and Norway so anyone on the coast can pretty much swim to the next country (not really). Poor old Finland is just a piece that was too cold for Russia and too East for Sweden.
