Stop crying that someone is trying to shut down your illegal torrenting and accept the fact you're going to have to get a job and buy stuff
    TROLL ALERT

Troll Alert - Troll Pretending that Online Piracy is real reason for SOPA instead of being a false front reason, says the stated false-front reasons for bills are the same as the actual motives and makes invalid posts on boards - Alert - Pretends that bills dont have hidden motives disguised by false fronts

Mega’s competing music venture is/was called Megabox, a site that would soon allow artists to sell their creations directly to consumers. And unlike the traditional record deals where artists get only a fraction of the revenue, with Megabox the musicians would get to keep 90% of earnings.

        http://torrentfreak.com/megaupload-swizz-beatz-120120/

MegaBox Had the potential to end the record label industry within some time of going viral and similar sites opening along with. For this reason + for PsyOps Disinformation to put out a big news story to make SOPA like legislation look like its really for piracy, Mega was shut down.

Now, every time someone says SOPA's motive is not about piracy, PsyOps Disinformation can reply and say " Yes it is, see, look we went after these sites"

By shutting down Mega, the governments have engaged in piracy, stealing people's legitimate files that also existed on it. To resort to such a hypocrisy ironic crime, there had to have been high stakes PsyOps interests involved

If youtube was truly hosting illegal stuff yes the government could shut it down now. Everyone makes it seem like this bill is going to make it possible to shut down a site like youtube whereas it was impossible before. Also the crybaby bitch in that video makes it sound like one troll is going to make one post with copyrighted material on some forum no one cares about and the government is going to drop the banhammer on them. My post telling you to use common sense was so that you'd realize the government just doesnt care enough about the occasional infraction here and there.

People cried when online poker went away in the US too, but the fact is those sites were evading taxes like nobody's business which negatively impacted our economy. Get over yourselves and realize this is for the greater good.

Also DTF I can see you're still generally a general idiot about everything in general. Good to see some things never change

If they were given complete authority by the government to do whatever they wanted with these criminals, then yes they could.

Can someone tell me how being on the internet somehow frees you from being a U.S. citizen? All this bill is doing is trying to enforce our laws on our citizens. I guess when people like LaSenza can jump on the internet and become a girl its no surprise other people think they can jump on the internet and be above the law...idk seems kinda childish to me.

People like you are the reason why the Government is allowed to get away with stupid crap like this, you were probably saying the same shit when the Patriot Act was passed.

Theres a reason the RIAA and MPAA are going after people so bad. I guarantee you even if you were making 10 billion dollars a year and people were stealing 5 billion from you, youd go after that cause it is a substantial amount of money you are getting ripped off for. Yeah I made up numbers on the spot, and whatever the real numbers are the amount being pirated is still enough to hire a team of ruthless jewish lawyers to hunt down anyone they can

The article you linked says "Based in Sweden, TPB has operated with near-impunity to American copyright laws" Thats exactly what SOPA is trying to stop. That stuff isnt allowed to exist in America, so why should Americans be able to so easily circumvent the law by going to some website hosted in Sweden. The US isnt trying to overstep its bounds and take down TPB cause that's Sweden's problem to take care of, but people in America shouldnt be above the law because they log onto the internet.

Did you even read some of the people they targeted? Those are regular Americans who are NOT criminals. Yet they make them look out like they did the most heinous crimes next to rape and murder, for what? Downloading some songs?

You want to keep handing over government power to lobbyist fucks who just want to make more more?

What do you not get about all this?

It's not about stopping piracy, it's not about enforcing the law. It's just a way to make MORE MONEY for special interest groups.

They don't give a fuck whether you're a US veteran, a doctor, or a sports athlete, go online and do something without permission (Like download the new Lil Wayne song, IDK anything) then expect one of the following: warning, fine, lawsuit, suspension of internet, arrest.

The Patriot Act is a different situation entirely so I dont see how you can draw a parallel...that argument would be the cue for 'if youre not doing anything wrong you shouldnt be worried' since that is basically what it boils down to. Let's leave that for another thread. This thread is about angry kids getting mad that the government wants to stop them from downloading free movies, songs, games, etc so they are making ridiculous claims that legitimate websites are going to get hit hard with little to no provocation.

Go to a store and steal the new Lil Wayne song/cd and see if you dont get a fine, lawsuit, or arrest. Why are you acting like you dont have to follow real world laws on the internet? Like real world morals dont apply?
