  • Real reasons to not watch Reloaded.

    1) trinity looks much older, thus uglier.
    2) a lot of "profacy" and "machines+programs" yapping
    3) terrible zion scene (hundreds of non-colour specific people in cave-man clothing/naked jumping and spinning) God what a herd of goats!
    4) too much of the same martial art action. TOO much.
    5) Ends with "to be concluded" wtf thats not a satisfying movie, now u gotta wait till autumn to see the real ending.
    6) bad sex scene... all they showed is their naked asses and some moans. No pussy, no nothing...

    1) Trinity looks fine. Consider that she is around 35 years old, lets see how hot you look at 35.
    2) It's called "storyline". If you just want pure action and an orgy of death, go rent Hard Boiled. Actually...don't rent hard boiled. You woudn't get that either.
    3) The scene had a purpose. If you remember the speach Morph gave, the party was to send a signal to the machines that the humans are still here and wont be going down without a fight. It was a celebration of the human spirit, something that probably went over your head. And what does it matter what color they are? Are you racist or something?
    4) First you bitch about too much talking, now you're bitching about too much action. May I suggest Spongebob as more on par with your tastes?
    5) It's a trilogy. Deal with it. Empire Strikes Back did the same thing, as did LotR: TT. Again, deal with it.
    6) It was tastefully done. If you want hardcore sex go rent a porno.

      1. i dont really care how trinity looks
      2. lots of philosophical ideas in matrix. not suitable for the feeble/close minded. hard boiled is a fantastic flick.
      3. reminds me of that night i was chillin at the Raven II
      4. everybody was kung foo fighting. i like that.
      5. if they ended the thing with reloaded they wouldnt need the 3rd movie.
      6. sex scene wasnt all that necessary. i always thought they could go in to the matrix and have "better" sex.

The fact remains, the Zion rave scene was way too drawn out. Yes, they're celebrating. We understand.

It served to show us just how many people there were there, and how much the events meant to them. It also provided that little bit of a lead-in to the love scene.

Trivia note: when the drums started going, there was a passing shot of the bongo drummers. The guy on the left is a guitarist for Third Eye Blind. I know, most of you don't care, but they're one of my favorite groups

I was very uninterested in the zion scenes. quite tedious i think.
the rest of the movie was excellent.

The best part about the Zion rave scene was closing your eyes and listening to the music.

on the contrary, I thought that the first Matrix really built up a hype of how Zion would look like. It kind of reminded me of the ethereal gfx that had for LOTR's Rivendell but instead of the mythical bastions, they had machines on top of other machines. I thought it was necessary for the director to include a full coverage of how the last remaining human city looked like (I mean, up until the movie spoiled it, u had no idea what the city looked like). The bottom line is that it was necessary to make the movie complete. Besides, i thought the chat with the minister dude and Neo was really cool when they went down to the boiler room and said something along the lines that 'We made the machines to do our bidding, yet we cannot survive without them'. A nice thought to ponder.

Actually my friends and I had a discussion about the movie, we reached the following conclusions:

1)too much philosophy statements in the movie, while as some philosophy statements would make the movie interesting, too much of them would just make the whole movie look like a 'big-o-try' to be deep and meaningful.

2)the sex scene was too long.
By the end of the 1st minute, I was like 'k, they are having sex' .
By the end of the 2nd minute, I was like'k, they are having good sex'
By the end of the 3rd minute, I was like 'k, they are having great sex'
                      .
                      .
By the end of the 5th minute, I was like 'GET OVER IT, I AM NOT PLAYING 15 BUCKS TO SEE A CHEAP PORN'
                      Wont die, no surrender 2

The rave scene looked like a gap commercial, and the clone fight looked like a video game. Both should have been cut in half. Besides those two scenes it was good though. Basically the first 45 minutes or so were pretty rough, but it picked up nicely and I was really liking it by the end. I liked it, look forward to the third.

The cause effect conversation with the french guy was also a bit overdone.

I think that highway scene alone coulda been enough action for one movie.
