NGE sucks because after you've seen 6 episodes its pretty much the same thing until episode 25-26 where you will experience one of the most horrible endings in anime history. Add a bunch of people whom you hate from the moment you first lay eyes on them (alas with Misato as an exception) and you got an anime that sucks.

Or maybe you just didn't understand it. Plus, episode 25 & 26 weren't the actual real endings. The real endings are the movies which are way better and crazy.
