The results don't end up putting us in any different of a position. It's a one-party system designed to appeal generally to people who either have liberal or conservative beliefs by simply flavoring the rhetoric that way to get votes to continue the insanity. But substantively, nothing really changes except the rhetoric.
The only way real choices will be offered to the American public is a third party option. People get excited about third party candidates because they get exposed to genuinely different ideas. But what happens? They get scared off by November and march in line to vote for more of the same. But if you can get people past the fallacies that its a "wasted vote" or it "takes away" from the mainstream candidate (as if they owned your vote to begin with), then you'll get change.
Until then, expect more big government, more war, cost of living increases, and quality of life decreases.

The American government is in many aspects the same as TW Staff."Action is the real measure of intelligence. "

Wtf?
Funny, I recall a bunch of people who thought Obama and Dems were going to change everything on this very forum about 7 years ago. I mentioned then that all politicians were all the same but got nothing but push back on how everyone would now get a chicken in every pot, ObamaCare was great, and Gitmo would be closed down in a few weeks. Where are those people now?

obamacare is working. sorry, but noone on this forum has spent more time arguing against the idea of government-provided healthcare, and i've since then had to eat my own words.
if republicans wanna save money maybe they should start by prosecuting corporations who have hidden over 100billion in offshore tax havens since 2013 alone. maybe they should also stop giving these corporations over 90 billion/yr in corporate welfare kickbacks.
giving money to those in need is one thing. giving 13 billion to Boeing, for instance, is another.
you can say what you want, but at the end of the day the biggest drain on the federal budget is corporations. that's the facts, jack, one might be able to argue that giving these companies billions on top of their billions is a good thing, but you can't argue that they aren't far more of a budget drain than the impoverished.

actually ima call you out, why dont you compare your previous plan to your new one? why did it go up? where do you work, aren't you a teacher?
my insurance didn't go up one cent because my employer isn't a cheap scumbag and provided a decent plan pre-ACA
and ima let you calling my buddies deadbeat slide, i dont have to defend or explain their situations, and someone like you clearly doesn't have the emotional capacity to give a shit anyways. oh, and they don't "get it for free", thats not how the ACA works. they get it at an affordable price. vati are you ok bro?
edit: basically what im trying to say is,
dont blame ur shitty job on obama, and also, ron paul's dream is dead libertarianism is over-idealistic and just give it up alreadyLast edited by Jerome Scuggs; 11-10-2014, 12:11 PM.
