You could...
Search the net (altavista.com image search maybe) for pictures (you can crop and format to size) that please you...

Or browse other forums in search of an avatar that meet your standards.

Or..... go to picture/avatar sites; a couple I know of are:

At the risk of sounding sexiest, you dont have to type out every message as a girl sending a text message would. On the other hand, dont pass through the punctuation phase (the one where people suddenly decide in game to start all their sentence with a capital letter and end with a full stop, but not any full stop. A full stop which means I am right and you should not reply to this. Dimboy is currently 3/4 way through the punctuation phase).

You guys make valid points about how certain modes of writing aren't appropriate in a place where you can sit, think about what you're writing, and edit at your leisure before posting. That's why there usually isn't any excuse for poor grammar or sloppiness in a place like this (other than laziness or the intent to mock someone else). Whereas in SS there's no point in correcting someone - they're usually engaged in a lil' spaceship battle while trying to type at the same time. That's why I'm all for stupid looking abbreviations (l0lz ggz wtf) - they're actually useful for brevity's sake.
