You are right about the fact that the youth are headed towards more conservative groups, and that is because that is how life is, the counter culture now is freedom of speech. Then I'd say it's more of a movement toward libertarian (small l) thought, rather than conservativism. For example, few in the alt-right seem to be deeply religious. Religion is the primary storehouse of conservative values in almost every country, and has been for as long as there have been countries. Also, while Western libertarian conservatives vehemently defend free speech, being polite and respectful toward others is, generally speaking, one of their core values, as again, Christianity (or in some cases Judaism) is primarily what they're trying to conserve. There are very few secular conservatives.

I don't buy that the alt-right is attempting to conserve much. They seem more akin to the Obamabots, looking for Change/new values via a sort of father figure. Maybe you could help clear up what you mean by this.

Don't drink that koolaid: it will lead to an enlarged amygdala, which will contribute to panic attacks, a sense of paranoia, belligerence, a feeling that you are at this very moment about to die, sudden bouts of anger, etc. To reduce its size, it will require active effort, much like losing weight. But -- wanted to chime in to respond to the quote. That's something I've observed, too. I wouldn't say the desires are exactly secret, though, and I'm not sure I'd say it's "a very large percentage," but it's significant enough that it does make it kind of amusing.
