suppose the after life is on the same planet as earth, and just a different dimension as ours...i can understand then how people see ghosts

1) YES!
2) probably not.
3) depends on what i could do as a ghost. could i go to heaven? would i be stuck as one for eternity?

according to ghost charter 1, you are either a ghost at death or you go to heaven, no in between.

Yes

Yes - they're not to interfere in the affairs of men. They must be invited to 'haunt'. They must (will) leave when ordered to leave in the name of Jesus Christ / Yahshua. (..which makes the catholic ritual of exorcism inaffective and a waste of time.) Just tell them to go back where they came from... in the name of the Lord.

No choice

-pros/cons of being one
pros-don't need sleep or food; no waste (trips to the restroom); no affect from the elements (hot & cold) & no aging
cons-leaving your friends behind - ... if wicked, then banned from the city of God.

Actually, there's a difference between Ghosts, Evil Spirits, Demons & Devils.

Ghosts are spirits that were incarnated and died.

Evil spirits & demons are the dead offspring from that period surrounding Noah's time. In Genesis 6, you'll read that the Nephilim (aliens & fallen angels - no difference) were procreating with humans creating hybrid humans. They were giants, called gebor. They were a ferocious & terrorizing people. They were like locust devouring all the resources in their path... even each other. Noah's great grandson Nimrod is accredited with destroying the majority of these terrible giants. Many of the societies that the Lord instructed Israel to conquer were remnants of these giants.

Deut:3:11: For only Og king of Bashan remained of the remnant of giants; behold, his bedstead was a bedstead of iron; is it not in Rabbath of the children of Ammon? nine cubits (13 feet) was the length thereof, and four cubits the breadth of it, after the cubit of a man.

Num:13:33: And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the giants: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight.

Goliath was a descendant of the giants. He was 9 feet tall.

When these giants died, there was no place for them to go because only that which is created in heaven can return to heaven. So the spirit of these giants are forced to wonder about the earth in the invisible realms. These are the evil spirits that possess & torment people.

Devils would be of that fallen third of angels (children) that rebelled against God. It was a portion of these that came to earth in physical form to cohabit & procreate with the daughter's of men.
