Lucid Dreaming

I have never had a lucid dream, though it would be cool to have one and not wake up.

On the topic of dreams, I can still remember my funniest one. I had Bob Saget hosting a late night talk show and I was the Kevin Eubanks/Paul Schaffer type guy. He kept on calling me "dawg", and I kept laughing like an idiot. The dream ended with me vomitting on my guitar. This was like two years ago, and I can still remember waking up and laughing, trying to find a piece of paper to write it down so I wouldn't forget it.

hmm.. nope. Many times in a dream, i realized that this is just a dream, but I couldn't control it. Things (well, bad things actually) in my dream always happen against my will.

But the coolest dream is where you fly... man i cant get enough of it. It's just so awesome!! You take off.. float around.. jump immense distances... aahh i <3 the dream world

Go for the O.B.E.! (out of body experience)

what happens there? is it a dream where you are someone else..? one time i was looking in a mirrow that covered a whole wall and i was looking really close into it, right into my eyes... all i can say is that i got a weird feeling. kind of like "mirror me" was actually a seperate person, but i was that seperate person at the same time as i was me. i was kind of in awe.

I guess it would be possible, but what would be the point? If you totally forgot what you dreamed about as soon as you woke up, there would be no point in the first place.

i read this at like 5 in the morning and then when i tried going back to sleep, i started my dream and then realized i was in one after a bunch of crazy random crap happened. from there this was my train of thought "hmm i think they said spinning would help, oh cool im spinning kind of... down... wait i want to spin the other way... " then i woke up. i felt the nausea kind of stuff too. i wish i could do what heatha can, maybe she and i should sleep together so she could teach me

That'd be interesting, but when I dream, I feel as though I'm losing sleep...so once I realize I'm dreaming, I try to suppress it...and just sleep.

I noticed that the person who started this thread and those who can have lucid dreams are generally interested in the matrix. I was just thinking that the matrix itself is a lucid dream, as when Neo realizes it isn't real he has the ability to control it in any way he sees fit.

An Out of Body Experience, is almost similar to dying. The only difference initially is that when a person has an O.B.E., they can see that they're still connected to their body by a silver cord. For those that have just died, their silver cord is severed. They are no longer attached to their body.

Ok, that would be the way Neo is all-powerful.

Because how else could somebody wake from an 'unconscious lucid dream' and know exactly how to change it? =P

so, i havent exactly mastered these types of dreams, but ive started having good dreams, like i had one about a wedding in a hotel, but the hotel got sshut down for corrupt business practices, anfd then i went into it and found the hotel owners secret stash of weed and expensive bongs. then last night i had a dream that i was going to be sent to a detox center and i was like wtf weed isnt something u need to be detoxified for, so i was like ok whatever but before i go there im going to smoke as much as possible, and i did and it was cool. hmm.. maybe i like weed too much.
