Best Emo/Indie Rock band?

There's a couple kinds of people that listen to this shit.

1. People who know everything and want to make sure that you know that they know everything and that you don't know shit.

2. people who don't know shit, but they learn a couple names so now they're "in the know" even though they're not really.

the lead singer has outstanding range,
the guitars for this band isnt just the tipicle rock band power chord change, this band has some pretty moderately difficult guitar lines, expecially that the lead singer is playing them and singing at the smae time, that takse skill
also all their songs all more of the normal/long length. the averagess ong time is 5min +
that takes alot to write because they arent jsut repeating what they are doing, they dont just play verse, chorus, bridge and solo

which leads me to the conclusion. how can this band suck?
i havent seen any bands this good and coplex, in a while

Idlewild is pretty straightforward rock. (I like Idlewild too.)

As far as people labelling shit "indie" or "emo" in this thread--here's the deal. What you're seeing now is the EXACT same thing that happened in the early 90's, when "grunge" was the "cool, in-thing" to be. Shit, half of the "grunge" bands were just rock bands. Sorry to ruin your "street rep" or anything, but half of the bands mentioned here are just "rock" or "crap punk".

You are an idiot that has no idea what emo is, and you also have no knowledge of Vagrant records. Saves the Day isn't emo, they're crappy teen-pop. Dashboard isn't emo, they're crappy teen-acoustic-pop. The Get Up Kids were kind of Emo on Four Minute Mile, I guess, but that isn't on Vagrant, by the time they signed to Vagrant, they had switched to crappy teen-pop-rock. Face to Face isn't emo, they're washed-up pop-punkers that were a lot better 7-8 years ago. Rocket From the Crypt (only decent band on the label) isn't emo, they have horns, for Christ's sake.
