Just an observation..
It appears to me that the TW forums have been slowly but surely stagnating over the last 10+ months or so. A lot of the interesting posters seemed to have stopped caring and no longer (or very rarely) visit the boards, including CoL, Divine Rides, Justin, Sandra, Pj, Nockm etc. Although there is no doubt that some of these people started a lot of unnecessary flame wars, they also contributed a great deal and offered unique insights into the various discussions that went on. Without a great board nemesis like CoT, it seems as if the charismatic people are no longer drawn to post.
The quality of threads has also been deteriorating, not so much because of the awful grammar (which has always been present) or the absence of any cohesiveness within the posts themselves but rather the lack of content presented on behalf of the posters. Serious threads such as the recent one about music or the thread about religion are moderately rare and the parties involved are always limited to 2 or 3 people, like Conc or WiseCherub or TK. The humorous threads are pretty awful, and I say this even with the coming of the great Sir Bracco. It's almost as if people don't put any effort into the conversations they participate in. Spamming and general idiocy are at an all time high with active douche bags like Spiderex and company constantly reminding us of their existence. However, the true cesspool of this board remains to be the astoundingly lousy trolls that have tried to replace me. Their insults are lame. Their fights are simplistic, monotonous, and vapid. Even though the trolls are doing their best to imitate my edgy style of condescending narcissism mixed in with quick-witted bigotry, the end result takes the form of those unoriginal quips by Light members or the pathetic wimperings of fuckheads like Ice Storm.
This forum has become so repetitive and mind numbingly dull that I've reached a point of not wanting to read it or re-register on an alias. I guess this means that the good guys finally won.
