although all fps shooters besides counter-strike suck...
quake III is a great, fast paced for small lan's like that
also... try soldat... i just found out about it; it's a "cute" game that isn't quite an fps, but i urge you to check it out. it's freaking awesome... it's like... worms the game, but multiplayer... you control the worms.
if you want to try it out just make sure to dopwnlaod the patch as well as the game file. the game in totality is lke 5 megs so it's a win/win

I stumbled across Return to Caste Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory as I was searching for some decent FPS's. This game is alot like BF1942 as far as gameplay is concerned. It's a stand-alone game, not an expansion, and best of all it's F-R-E-E. Check it out if you liked RtCW.jasonofabitch loves!!!!Comment

counter-strike is good, but if ur stuck with 4 players,
a fast action game would be good, unless ur having a bot match.
quake 3 is the only fast game i play.
but for bots:-

also, enemy territory is in NO WAY like Battlefield 1942!
the gameplay of ET is fast and u cant control every vehicle u see, unlike battlefield 1942.

Battlefield 1942 owns on a lan, there's some tweaks if you don't play on a lan but honestly imho this the best game for a lan.Comment
