A friend of mine who's an avid LOTR reader told me that the love story actually is in the book, the appendix rather, i think...if not there, then in one of the other two books Tolkien wrote.
Yes, I did watch the extra stuff on the Two Towers, and I knew what you meant by 10k orcs, I just figred that Sauron had that many in the first battle also.
Blue, by post-killing-Sauron stuff, do you mean Saruman in the Shire? When Wormtongue stabs him in the back?
Ya, I bet some of that will be cut out, but if you think back to the first movie when Frodo was looking into Galadriel's Mirror, you saw a scene of the Shire in turmoil, so that means they shot at least that much, so I hope that Saruman makes it in the last minutes.
