what movie should people make?

Id have to go with Rainbow 6; the best novel by Tom Clancy in my opinion. The only problem I can see is how they could properly fit a 900 page novel into one 2 hour movie without losing some key plot features or character development.

Another movie which I heard was in the works years ago was one based on Doom. Im sure most people have played the game, but has anyone else read the books? There are only a couple hundred pages each, but it has quite a solid story line and could easily be turned into a movie trilogy.

I just look at all the crap movies coming out these days and it seems like a safer bet to just turn a well known comic book or computer game into a movie. In general they have been doing a solid job of transfering these things to movie and I think they should expand on it.

While zelda sounds good on paper, I think it would be too "LordoftheRingsish" for some reason and I don't think it would do the game justice.

A metroid movie would be pretty badass, but they'd have to start it at Metroid and make 3 sequels.

I always thought that making movies from video games wouldn't work, seeing as how it hasn't really worked vice versa. But I think a Chrono Trigger movie would blow my mind, if it was done right.

As TK said, most video games don't carry enough of a plot with them to be developed into a full length feature film. RPGs are the only exception to this.

I'd like to see more 'social commentary' type films. I'd also like to see films that aren't afraid to come right out and tell it like it is. Too many movies these days are watered down because the MPAA thinks we can't handle the truth.

Video games into movies is generally a bad idea, I think. I'd rather see more original movie ideas. Too many people make sequels because they just know they'll do well at the box office. And even when stuff isn't a sequel, it's all watered down for the general public.
