    Welcome to DoCk>'s Computer Store!

Have a look at my wares. These are all parts that are in machines that are running at this particular moment, but will be removed this coming Tuesday. I happen to be reconfiguring my home network systems, and in doing so the following parts will become redundant/unnecessary.

    Available are the following items:

    Hard Drives:
Western Digital 100 GB Hard Drive w/ 2 MB Cache, 7200 RPM $70
Western Digital 80 GB Hard Drive w/ 2 MB Cache, 7200 RPM $60
Western Digital 40 GB Hard Drive w/ 2 MB Cache, 7200 RPM $45

    Motherboard:
Biostar M7VIG-Pro KM266 $42 - A good solid dependable board featuring a VIA chipset. Pulled from my girlfriend's computer. Completely functional (it's running right this moment). Can take PC2100 DDR, or PC133 SDRAM, and any Athlon processor up to the Athlon XP 2600+ (266).

    Video Card:
    Sapphire Radeon 7500 - $42

Excellent image quality. Excellent level of acceleration for Continuum use. Can hold up to use as a gaming card for lots of games. Need a cheap fix for Continuum screen lag? Still using that integrated video? Get this card.

    Memory:
256 mb PC2100 by Dane-Elec. Solid memory with great performance. The bot server was online 180 days without failing, using this memory. It only went down due to the Blackout of 2003.
    $36

256 mb Crucial PC133 144 pin SODIMM for a laptop. Email me if you need me to check if your laptop is compatible. I have two of these, for a total of 512 mb. CL2, 7.5 ns. Quality stuff.
    $45 each.

All items are in perfect working order, and the drives listed have no bad sectors. All hard drives will be zeroed and returned to a like-new state. Shipment will go out the next business day by UPS after payment is received, or shipping is free. A tracking number will be provided.

Shipping: $6.50 + $2 for each item (due to size and weight).

International orders are allowed but you must pay actual full shipping cost. All prices are listed in US Dollars. You can send me a money order, or send money by Paypal (Credit Card).

If this works out well I may have some more parts for sale at a later date.

This sale does not benefit the Trench Wars Server Fund. The money goes to help me out, personally. I guess that helps Trench Wars out too, in a small way.

If you have any questions about the items, email me at dock@twsites.com.

As to the issue of seriousness of the forums, and the viability of selling things here... I don't see a problem if I require people to send me actual money first, and then I send them a product. That's the way all transactions are.

I've deleted most of the posts from this thread. If you want to discuss whether it's appropriate to sell something on a Trench Wars forum, you can do so in another thread.

I'm looking for a new motherboard. But, my system is fairly old, and im not sure if my shit's compatible. Im getting a new processor soon, upgrading from a pentium III. If I buy your mobo, ill just get Athlon.

And, holy crap, i just looked at your HD prices. I have 12 gigs so i might get the 40 gig.

EDIT: fuck dock, I also need a vid card--mines a voodoo3 with a corrupt driver

If you want them, just email me and I'll post back here that the parts are reserved for you. Then all you have to do is send me money by paypal, and I'll have the parts shipped out the next day.

It's great that you have interest in the items I'm selling, but... Well, not to put pressure on ya or anything, but all of this stuff will disappear shortly if you don't buy it. I need to sell them one way or another, I just thought I'd offer the items here on Trench Wars first before I put them up on eBay.

In the spirit of selling things here before I go eBay'ing, if anyone's interested in a slightly-used SGI 1600SW wide-aspect flat panel monitor and the accompanying 3DLabs Oxygen VX1-1600SW AGP card, let me know. I'll sell the whole shebang for $200 OBO.

This is what the thinger looks like:

                        17.3" diagonal.

I ditched the Number Nine Revolution card in favor of the better 3DLabs one. It's a kickass little monitor, the problem is that it went with the standard SGI marketing model, which meant that even though it uses a digital signal, it's not a standard DVI monitor. So, the only caveat is that you have to use the 3DLabs or Number Nine card with it. However, you can also buy a little SGI converter box that will convert nearly anything to the connector/signal type that it needs.

Yes but you've got a 17", this is 17.3", it makes perfect business sense!

Edit: We're talking about monitors here
