I got back from basic training and AIT on Tuesday after four months of living in a "Drill Sgt. Environment" as they called it. The stress and sleep deprevation and near total control all ended a few days ago, and I got back onto SubSpace for a few hours on Wednesday. It felt like I never left, I am really rusty but the game is just as much fun. I talked to Pure_Luck about getting back on staff and he said my invitation from Weaver when I left was still good today. It also sucks about Melee doing so well in TWLD and then all of the warbirds leaving and finally Randed and Anon leaving, but I guess the squad wants to focus on TWLB
I was all set to play in next TWL but I found out today I am going to Iraq on December 7th. The deployment is scheduled for 12 to 18 months. I don't want to go, the stories my brother told when he got back were exciting but he said it was worse than anything, and he was only actually overseas for 7 months. But I suppose they need me, and in the long run I could really use the money. It's tax free and living expenses overseas are very low, they supply me with everything. Four months of training felt like forever while I was there, and now I'm going to the deserts of Iraq and Kuwait for three times as long at least. I am going to buy a gameboy I think, my brother told me a lot of what they did over there was play cards, chess, gameboy, Xbox and stuff, but he was mostly south of Baghdad whereas my unit is going West of Baghdad
So the reason I'm posting all this is to let certain people know where I am, and that I am not just leaving the game I have no choice. And also to get people's input on what gameboy games I should buy. heh
