I felt the same way until I saw him live, and now I love the album.

Also, if you like LSF, you should check out the !!! (Chik Chik Chik) single Me and Giuliani Down By The Schoolyard (it's kind of disco, but the first track is money), and definitely also get They Threw Us All In A Trench and Stuck A Monument on Top by The Liars (this one should also be a winner for you since you're into McLusky, if I recall).

I mentioned this in the British Rock thread, but Ride: Nowhere is an amazing album.

Edit: I estimate there is a .003% chance that you will like DCFC or The Postal Service, so just forget it. But definitely get that Interpol CD that he suggested.

        Slug - Se7ens
        Basement Jaxx - Kish Kash
        Amon Tobin - Supermodified
Xen Cuts - Ninja Tune - this is a 3-CD compilation of artists on the ninja tune label. I'm sure you'll notice a few of the names. Almost every individual song on all 3 CDs have a completely original sound, ranging from hip hop to electronic to trip hop to real instrumental pieces.

        Some songs:
        Atmosphere - Sound Vibration
        IMA Robot - Dynomite
Amon Tobin - Keepin' It Steel (The Anvil)

        Buck 65 - Man Overboard
        Buck 65 - Vertex
Buck 65 - Talkin' Honky Blues
        El P - Fantastic Damage
Deep Puddle Dynamics - The Taste Of Rain...Why Kneel? (Out of all the ones I'm suggesting, I can see you liking this one the most)
Cannibal Ox - The Cold Vein

        The Peej
Its actually Atmosphere - Lucy Ford EP, not slug, although he's part of the group.

And if you want good hip hop, my collection spans about 30gigs and 4,000 tracks worth of albums, here's some gems (what im playing alot now):

Kelis - Tasty <- wicked album (this girl is engaged to nas, she got him to convert from islam to chrisitianity)
looptroop - modern day city symphony <- swedish cats
bahamdia - kollage <- this girl is good
jean grae - attack of the attacking things <- also a tight girl mc
        beans - tomorrow right now
cunninglinguists - southernunderground <- dope cats
        rjd2 - dead ringer <- excellent producer
raekwon - the lex diamond story <- probably his best solo work
rza - birth of a prince <- good producer too, check out Kill Bill, thats his soundtrack
        tonedeff - underscore
arsonists - as the world burns
common sense - can i borrow a dollar?
cali agents - how the west was one <- one of the best collabs in my opinion
jaylib - champion sound <- also a deadly callob
        akrobatik - balance
juice - listen to the words <- this guy killed eminem in battle olympics
mf doom/viktor vaughn - vaudeville villian
non-prophets - hope <- signed to epitaph for all you punk rockers
immortal technique - revolutionary volume 1 and 2
ill bill - ill bill is the future <- necro's brother
necro - gory days and/or brutality <- this guy is graphic, but nice beats
people under the stairs - or stay tuned
moka only is - ron countour
        mf doom - operation doomsday
little brother - the listening <- 9th wonder and phonte, nice collab

What kind of mainstream music do you like?

I'd say the sound dictates the indie moniker more than anything. Indie music tends to be stuff that sounds different than stuff on the radio, but still manages to find a fan following despite lack of promotion. Even so, The White Stripes aren't indie anymore in my opinion because they play shows in front of eight trillion people, and sell eight trillion records, even though they sound pretty much the same as they used to.

I think "Lift yr. Skinny Fists..." is magnitudes better.

Oh, yeah, PJ. File sharing doesn't work at all on my computer, and I can't find much old Anticon stuff at stores anywhere.
