the only people i have ever known to say 311 sucks have heard no more than 3-4 songs by them (out of their 140 something). also they are not very good at picking what singles to put out... u gotta put out the radio friendly stuff first, and let them buy the CD and pick up the aquired tastes. ANYWAY

there are so many dummies out there who belive 311 are racist cause their friend told them or whatever. it is completely wrong. 311 is a very positive group and in their 140+ songs at least 2-3 have lyrics that directly denounce racism.

btw, 311 is the police code or whatever for indecent exposure in omaha nebraska, 311's hometown. 1 of them was skinny dipping and got caught or something and they found it pretty funny so thats what they name themselves. they have also said that it worked well because it started out with i think 4 people, then one left, and then two more came individually. 3+1+1 = 5 friends making music.
