I have no idea why you brought this up in the first place. I can't recall mentioning that emo music got rid of world hunger, ended all war in the future, eliminated the national debt or made Gerorge W. Bush seem halfway intelligent. Of course I know about bigger problems in the world but music isn't exactly the best news source. Have you ever heard someone say, "Hey, I'm going to go down to the local electronics store to pickup a copy of the new (insert name of favorite politically active band here) CD, so I can catch up with all that's been going on in the world." I believe the main point of music is to entertain, not to be a news reporter.

No but you did say it helped you see bigger problems, and you said there are other things than worrying about failed realtionships. Exspecially when emotional music likes to drown your ears in lyrics about failed relationships.
it makes me sick when i think of it, all my heroes could not live with it so i hope you rest in peace cause with us you never did

No and I don't think all music should be political but how important is it for you to listen to music about failed relationships when you clearly said it doesn't seem important to you.

It helped me see that worrying about relationships isn't that big of a deal, NOT see specific bigger problems.

Once again...I do not listen to emo and emo only. Plus, there are other kinds of emo besides the "failed relationship" sub-genre.

This arguement is getting retarded. Add a comment if you want but I'm getting bored by it.
