I thought æ was pronounced the same as ä in which case it sounds like this (Put your mouth in a shape as if you were gonna say an "oooo" sound but make an "eeeee" sound)

I've always thought of it as AWnima, it's the easiest to pronounce, but no one ever thinks of it. I could go to latin where when the 'a' and 'e' are next to eachother 'ae' then it's pronounced as "eye" or 'I', and you'd get "Eyenima" which just sounds weird:\
