go to User CP then Edit Options and scroll down to Messaging & Notification. find Default Thread Subscription, click the drop-down menu and hit No email notification. if it still sends you emails for it (it did to me once), go to List Subscriptions (in your User CP), find it and click the check box to the right, then scroll to the bottom and in the drop-down list click 'No email notification'
