Can't we just close down other zones? It's not like we are using them.

Well, I recall that 2dragons has already programmed a 'joinchat' sorta thing for another zone.

Chats had passwords, and there were commands which I cant recall at the moment. I shall post them when I get home.

BUT, it is possible, and it has been made. Password protected chats, thats where the money is at.

Sounds like everything has been cleared up nicely. Staff chat is ?chat=staff but you need to have staff powers to be on it. If you join ?chat=staff you wont see the staffers and we wont see you. You will see anyone else that joined it and also is not a staffer though.

Chats can't be hacked. It's just some person (possibly an idiot) on your chat who has given it out. My tip, squadkick any idiots on your squad.

We don't warn, ban or otherwise punnish people for anything related to a chat anywhere in TW for any reason unless it's a public chat (blue or yellow). Hacking, spamming, racism... We don't touch it if it isn't on a public chat.

The only thing that was not mentioned was the allegation of "I'm sure if someone joined staff chat you would do something". That isn't true. People used to guess our chat all the time. Usually what happened is the arsehole on staff that gave it out was axed and we changed the chat name. Our chat used to be things like ?chat=fuzzybear. We couldn't just ban the person. If we didn't change the chat do you have any idea how many people would be on staff chat if word got out what it was? haha..

People get on Paladens chat often enough too. We don't ban or anything. Lord knows we have enough mods/smods on Paladen that if there was a double standard we would be on the right end of it. But no, we do what you do. Whine, complain, change the chat, and tell our members the new one.

Maybe PriitK or someone else will make an upgrade to Cont which resolves this problem. Maybe it would be a situation where if you are on ?squad Paladen and on ?chat=Paladen then its like ?chat=staff, you see only the people who are on that chat AND in the squad. Anyone else on ?chat=Paladen but not in the squad is on a seperate chat with the same name. That would be cool!

Yes!! Dude that happened with our Vulch chat remember? But the guy that was on it politely left. haha. There was only one guy on that chat.

Staff chat is private, if you wanted your chat like this it would be done server side, but for now. Make sure only loyal people are in your squad.

I like the idea of squads having the same thing the staff chat has. Lyssic's chat has been invaded once as well, by the opponent we were dding at the time. Pretty sad, i don't think they realized most of us just Esc F5ed it for the rest of the match.

Anywho, to save the staff some hassles, maybe to get a chat like ?chat=Paladen or ?chat=Lyssic - you'd need to be an active squad for at least 6 months - a year?
