I believe jebu is refering to a non captian picked basing game that you can enter at anytime during the game, that has the 'pub' flow of people.

The idea has been presented before but it is difficult to decied who should be the terr, or the javs. What if your only two javs are afk, or flying around in spawn?

Edit: I do like the idea of pub having a temporary goal for holding the flag so there can be a 'winning' team, rather than a never ending game. You would have to make sure the teams were even and prevent freq hopping.

Jebu's idea is kinda good. It's a lot like the Skirmish games that were in Infantry. All of the pubs were actually organized games. You had to hold the 5-6 flags for 1 minute straight (or something) to win the game. It was a lot of fun.

It would be great if something like that could be adopted into one of the TW pubs. Too bad, a lot of people would be confused and screw around. I bet it would be really popular if you got a certain amount of pub points as an award for being on the winning team. Something like 10-20k points per win.

The solution as it seems to me is dependent on what people in control want pure pub to be exactly. Yes I know it's supposed to be about basing. However .. is it supposed to be a primer about basing to work people up into getting into ?go base? or what exactly? If it is.. and the multiple freqs are a problem, allow the two only. Don't do team picking, and don't do max allowances on ships. Sort of a less stringent, working your way up.. Pure Pub is two freqs, then ?go base has captains and ship allowances, and if a person wants to play as a jav or shark or whatever in ?go base, he could use pure pub as his/her proving ground, instead of just screaming that he is a great jav in the hopes someone believes him. Kind of the way TWD is a primer or a lead in to TWL, Pure Pub can be a lead in to organized structured basing. Etc. Etc.

well ya i know that why i said maybe 2 ters because maybe other ter can ter and if there is some help "windows" and always after new game start it tells simply rules/tips how to do it then even newbies would learn faster. and public 1 arena if it could have some arrows which pointed to fr or to base so newbs follow them and find nice fighting and join it that way they would learn it.

and guy who said pub is meant to chill around well thats pure basing pub it means basing and there is many other pubs for that. i liked to levter but basing is much funnier. and in ?go base i get picked almost always sometimes just would be nice just base but not to try that much. and still with newbs who only know what to do it would be like chilling around (pretty tired so can't consentrate my english or anything, good night )
