Coordinates ? wtf ?

Before we get all high and mighty here, let us all remember that Coords aren't really that relevant to TW. If you're in pub, where most of us start out, you're only using a small portion of the map and the only useful reference points are the base and the safes. Even when you go to Elim or TWD, it's useful mainly, as someone mentioned, when there are few other ships out there. In either cases, maps in TW aren't really very complex or cluttered so the coordinate system isn't really very useful.

So don't start unleashing the flame throwers for someone whose asking this kind of question. I can't for the life of me name which buttons are used for thors or bricks off the top of my head either, and like coords, it's just a matter of not finding much use for knowing it, no matter how long someone has played TW. The fact of the matter is that the average player in TW has no use for coordinates.

I didnt say i dont know how to use them ...
I ment it takes too much time so I just flu around and search for the enemy myselth .
My question was how do some players seem to know exact spots by grid .
Caus i read the "LT guide" in this forum and he put position, so i was wondering how do people can tell exact spots by the letters and numbers caus they do not apear like a map .
And i dont think not knowing some things in the game has anything to do with skill .
I still dont know how to do text macros so what ....
(by the way --- how do u do text macros ?)
Anyway thanks to all those who helped and 1 more questions .
IS the check box to put grid on radar in the game or in the start when u load it ?

i find it very untrue (that a word??) that you dont know how to make a text macro ISRAELI F15-I ACE.

Just in case Israeli WASNT kidding....To set a macro alt tab out and go to Macros...Edit...And set them up...Or to save time just type it once and hit Shift + (F1 - F8). to USE the macros...just hit Shift + (F1 - F8) without anything typed in already.

Your current coordinates are right above your radar in the top right corner..and just remember that lower the number, the higher the position...greater the letter....further right...if you still dont get it...post and ill try to explain it in a different way...
