I wouldnt mind them returning the elim usage to 100 hours, or possibly upping up regular elim to 200 or something, it wouldnt be too far out and yet it would be a good limit, just an idea.

I'm not too sure its in the best interest to boost the usage up to 200, or even 100 for that matter. I mean new players who are introduced to the game will eventually get those amounts inevitably, whether they gain experience in the game or not. Usage limit only stands to be an obstacle for aliasers to make new names and rank them, at least that is how I see it.

Maybe it would be possible to implement two types of usage: Usage in spectator mode, and usage in game mode (actually in a ship playing). Possibly set the in game usage for elim at a decent level, that way it forces people to play more in game before playing in elim, Im not sure whether this is actually feasible. Im sorry if this is getting off topic but I'd just like to throw out some ideas, if you know how to make it better or have ideas yourself, go for it (produtive ideas please)
Anyways maybe they could make the ?usage command more in depth such as ?usage warbird or ?usage javelin and you can see how much in game time you have in that particular ship, if you want to play in a warbird elim match then lets say you need 75 hours of warbird usage, etc etc. Like I said, I know its far off topic but these are just ideas and thats what this board if for, throw out some ideas, and possibly implement them into the game? what do you guys think (constructive criticism please :P) Do you have any of your own ideas of how we can make elim more professional? As it stands right now I dont care for elim, but I do have an interest in making elim professional so that I may (and others too) actually think elim is worth ranking yourself.

Niceidea. First problem I see is people idling in a priv arena while they sleep.. they still gain usage, and they don't have to be in spec. Maybe use the metric "Number of people killed" :P That would be much harder to boost.

Yeah, that'd be nice b/c alot of usage sluts would get their usage cut down to like 11% of their current total. (**cough..Stabwound..cough..Maisoul) I'm sure there are lots of usuage whores, sorry to pick on you two, I just know you're sad with the spec usage.

Why not make the new veteran elim arena 2k usage minimum?

Most vets have more than 2k usage.
