put go base setting in pub

Private freqs only benefit the people on them. Everyone else gets screwed over. Once that freq leaves the arena (usually once another team manages to kick them out of the base) only one of the remaining two pub freqs is competitive, so any basing in that arena is dead.

he private freq's suck, also u should prevent ppl from freqhopping.. i was playing in pub the other day and than i was playing 15-6 at some moment... (6 was my team) and than we got base, and all the ppl came to our freq...

that didn't happen once, not few times more too later on that day, bit stupid.. stick to the freq u are on and the basing gets more fun...

Actual Suggestions for Pure Pub:

No Ship Limits, other than 0 levs.
No Private Freqs
Have Guanobot spec people that don't enter base within 2 minutes.

I've begun to notice that in "pure base" there seem to be an awful lot of guys dueling in the spawn area, they view it as simply an arena devoid of levs, not.. a public arena for basing.
Ship Limits would screw the arena too hard.
Private Freqs already facilitate places for duelers and for roofers, etc.
In other words, a great annoyance has been removed, but there are
a couple more that need to go to make it fully a basing focused arena.

ok no speccing.. so just fill all the other arenas up with speccers. no private freqs in all pub... i guess that totally destroys the "solo" or "leviterr" idea. And limiting of ships... ok i guess that could be good for experienced basers, but not so great for newbs which make up 95% of the pub population. oh and what happens when the newbs get the limited ships, while a veteran base jav decides not to play pub because he gets stuck in a spid every time.

guys, why try to make pure pub anoither ?go base...whats what ?go base2 is for

?go base2 ruins ?go base. usually both dies.

and in limited settings in pub, newbs would learn faster what to do in ?go base. and more leet players would come faster. then squads probally would recruit more members from public. (more members more good players for squads, right now there is actually few good squads. not enought good players for all squads)

Ok about the basing issue, I think that the suggestions made so far should really only be for pub 1. 2terriers per freq, no private freqs, no spectators, bot that kicks (either off off TW completely or sends you to a random pub) you if you dont enter the base / dont kill anyone / arent killed within: 3 minutes. Leave the base the way it is, structure wise. P.S. The whole idea behind bot kicking you if you dont kill anyone or arent killed is just thrown out there, the other points I think should be made, but that idea should probably have some thought put into it.

the only thing that really needs to be done is taking out the priv freqs. the only time i've seen a lot of speccers was when there were a ton of priv freqs screwing up the basing.

take out the priv freqs.

as for 1 terr, or only 2 sharks, thats stupid. 3 sharks that aren't mining are a great way to get into the flag room and keep your terr safe. and 2 terrs instead of one is a solid way to keep flag.
