Ditto for quoting an extremely long post when you're speaking of only a tiny part or making a very broad and general comment about it. Just the other day someone quoted a long post just to say something like "gee, that's a lot of words". If you really feel the need to do this, let me please introduce you to something called an "ellipsis". That's the "..." punctuation that's used to replace long strings of words when you don't need to actually point out the specific words used.
