Let's address a couple of issues here:

First off, your good old buddy Madvayne was banned permanently from Trench Wars for his 8th teamkilling violation at the beginning of May. He got busted today for ban evasion. If you find nothing wrong with these instances, feel free to reply below. The ban was also not done by myself, I was not even on when it happened. That information may be made available, but only to the banned individual and through the proper channels (ban@trenchwars.org).

About your accusation of Pallies feeding Alf, all I'm going to do is shake my head. Seriously, do you think we were feeding them? Cause if you do, I've also got a bridge in New York City for sale just for you. Unfortunately, sarcasm and humor evade most people when it comes to chat text, so I'll explain. Someone in the arena said something about feeding Alf, so we the Pallies (me included) responded just like we always do. You figure the rest of that out.

Hmmmm, you actually have to try to evade a ban first of all and from the sound of it, he is a repeat offender. I am sorry but it is kind of hard to have sympathy for people that constently break the rules. Eight times for the same occurance and then being caught with evading a ban! Who knows, maybe he was evading before but he never got caught. That happens a lot but even if that isn't the case the permanant seems like the discipline needed. Think about how many times we gave the guy a chance but continues to break the rules. If he doesn't want to follow the rules, why should everyone else have to bend the rules for someone that doesn't have respect for his other players. I have sympathy for you having one of your friends screw up and you're entitled to your opinion. But remember that your friend screwed up many times and he is being punished for it (again).

I feel the charges brought against me are unlawful. This would have to be the mose sever case of favoritistic egotistical dehumanization ive ever seen. You people make it sound like my purpose on this game is to teamkill. I mean, i rarely ever use jav/lev....and if i ever did teamkill anybody it was an accident and i soon apologized after the incedent. Secondly, avoiding bans? How come the mods couldnt warn me around my 2nd or 3rd -8th acused teamkill? Why let me go allllll the way to 8? Im pretty much and easy goin guy dont mean to cause any trouble.

I guess what im trying to say is i dont see why i wasnt warned. I mean at least on the second accused teamkilling at least gimme a warning or ban me for a # of days. As for the blaming of me "avoiding bans" i simply did not know loging on and going to different arenas was "ban evasion".

Absynth, if you're referring to me when you said you were "threatened by staff", I threatened you with a banning if you broke forum rules, and only after you told me you would continue to break them after I closed your first thread. You, in return, told me that what I was doing was "against the constitution"??? (I assume this is the US constitution, although TW has a worldwide playerbase) Last I checked, I am not a cop, nor is trenchwars a government organization. Freedom of speech involves public places or venues and oppression by the government, NOT a forum for a 2d spaceship game run and moderated by private citizens. We state VERY clearly that you are not allowed to say whatever you want here, check the rules, and we also explain what denotes appropriate conduct.

As a counter point, did you know I was threatened with in-game harassment, getting me fired from staff, hacking, and something more nebulous during our conversation? Even though, and I should've made this more clear, the help I provided you was above and beyond what you or anyone else but mudvayne had the privilege of? Now, instead of mudvayne being able to deal with this, either rightly or wrongly banned, privately, you've managed to drag him, and yourself, in to a . And, if you take a look at the very large number of responses in this thread, it doesn't exactly look like mudvayne got vindicated, and now everyone who reads the forums knows it.

So, because forum staff and in-game staff are separate (but not mutually exclusive), and because discussing bans on the forums tends to wind up with useless flame threads like this, PLEASE do not bring up in-game bans on the forums! Forum staff can not do anything about your ingame ban, and there are _plenty_ of channels already set up for you to discuss your ban without having to inform the entire world you were banned. The bans email is set up for you, the person who was banend, to handle your ban discretely. If you have a complaint about staff, send it to the complaints email, as the deans of staff do not check all the forums all the time, but they do read ALL the complaints emails.
