I need to get my computer fixed before I can d/l anything. ATM, I use paint/tileEdit :P THEY ARE CRAP!

photoshop is good stuff, me use it

filters eh, they are good i guess if you do some things like, ill make a new big image and make a noise texture and then overlay it on my tileset structure

but other than that, if you use filters they don't allways connect like pipes, at all, usually never..

i make a flawless white on black outline of a tileset then i use filters for textures and paste them on top them goto layer mode and select overlay, sometimes other modes look cool too

then i go along the ends and add flawless 50% opacity white lines along the topleft edges, and 50% black on bottom right

or i make a cool virtical tile and make little connectors for eacha nd poof..

but yea photoshop is good stuff

most people use the defaults, i do,. i used to use eyecandy and shit but then i seen that no -good- gfx i saw on the net use it, and those ppl said defautl filters do the trick

like.. u do noise 100% then motion blur vitricle then motion blur horisontal and then u got metal look, i think it looks cheesy tho just an example
