Too much hockey

Maybe there should be a requirement of how many people have to be in TW for them to host hockey just like zombies.

i c that u have nvr been in to the HZ server.
HZ pub is Dead and if there is a pub they call everyone a newb. so no point in going there. HZ pubs suck big time (talking about the players lvl). and if u go to ?go scrim or ?go mini u need to wait to long and/or u will nvr get picked.
TW hockey is much much better then HZ hockey anyway and so many TW players are good HZ players so it is a way to prac there skills without having to jump ships to HZ.

and some ppl like hockey so don't take that away.

and a ZH can only host Hockey, Boki, racing & turrets.
i don't like the last 2 and boki is ok.

ZH host games so they will be ER faster and i have no problem with that. TW needs active hosts. there are many ER's that almost nvr host and that is a shame.

no no no, the ZH's are zone helpers, they have to answer helpcalls, i dunno why it is so in the fasion to host if u are <ZH>

pfft, no wonder staff quits of their own free will after a few months. I'd be bored too if I'd have to ONLY host or ONLY answer help calls or whatever. Name <S> would be enough. just S for staff. And then mods and smods and stuff without any special tag.

A mix of it all is best. "Ah, I feel like hosting, guess I'll do that now". The best mods are those who occasionally (just once a month or so) host a game of very bad quality, as they can't remember the commands anymore.

Zone Helpers can host certain events because basicly the only way you can become an Event Referee is by being a Zone Helper first. You could call it a trial period. Being a Zone Helper can be a goal itself, but most people want to become Event Referee.
For those people being a Zone Helper is more of a training period, in wich they can learn how to host with the guidance of an experienced ER or Mod.
Ofcourse if they could just host any event at own will they would already be an ER, and I think it's better not to hand out power at random. A trial period of a few months is just the best solution.

And hockey is probably hosted alot because it's popular and not many people get to play.

I am surprise people don't argue that we don't have enough zombies. Thats pretty much always been the most hosted game in TW. Hockey is fun let them play why are you making people leave TW to play in HZ. The more people in TW the merrier(or laggier don't know which one it is).

I do host hockey a lot. However, there's only limited amount of arenas ZHs can host because most of the events require a bot. Only few arenas can be hosted manually. If hockey is being over hosted, why is there over 12 players (maximum amount of players) wanting to play most of the time? Also, if you haven't noticed, I try to be fair and host it when someone requests it through ?help or private messages me. You know why? It's because I just became a ZH and I know how it feels to have something hosted.

One last thing, I try to host when there is other ZHs around to answer the help calls. When we are short, then I try not to host.

6 for each freq seems good, 7 each freq is ok but 8 is bad. it justs get to buzy out there & the gameplay dies.

Melo hosted a couple hockey games with 14 ppl (7-7) last 2 ppl ware from staff. (the only way to do it)

most of these guys whining about going to play in hz...
hz is mostly dead times they host hockey in tw... so there is lots of those hockey zone players in tw just waiting to play hockey since their not able to do that in hz... and bythefact that hz is dying zone (no zone can survive but only newbie abusing mod's in it) its good that they do it in tw now so maybe they will continue it after hockey zone is gone.

First of all, since when is HZ a dying zone? We have over 100 people in the zone almost every evening. The league survived on less than half that number in years past. The only thing that will shut it down will be the newbies in general that cause trouble, and I don't see that happening.

As for hockey staying alive in TW, I'm pretty sure those in charge would rather let the zone die than have it live on as a lag-filled subarena in Trench Wars.
