this is the second time its happened, after tanks is hosted and the actual hosted event is over, the staff that hosted it think its okay to give themself super and shield and make a tank turret that goes round and lames everyone. im not going to mention names but this has really pissed me off, the fact it happened again. its a clear abuse of staff power and there is no need for it. all im asking that staff do not do this after tanks is hosted. it really made me question wether the staffers cheated in the game because they got the 2nd and 3rd most kills in the game and i even heard one person say the staffer even remade her freak when it was eliminated(the game style was conquer). tanks is my faveourite event and after each time its hosted i like to continue to play with the remaining players. its the only time people play in it. and this show of lameing really cleared them all out fast. ?go tanks should be treated like the public arena it is when theres no event being hosted just like every other public arena.

please all staff take this into consideration, the staff that feel the need to do this and think this is acceptable behaviour amazes me. the kind that has to give themselves the advantage never being able to be killed, and have super. this lowers the opinion of the tw public that they have of tanks and makes it increasingly less likely that they will spend any time playing there when its not being hosted. its one of those games that i wish could somehow be made never ending so people are always playing there.

Ermm.. Sure it's allright te be grateful that an <ER> hosted that game. But that is his/her job.. Ardour is damn right, there is no need for a staffer to prize him/herself super/shields/whatever, maybe frome time to time it can be fun, but Ardour mentioned that this happend several times... I'm sure that the person(s) in question will take this in consideration

Yes, I agree that staff must get bored with with all the hostings etc, but they surely must understand that hosting games with all the (sitting out,adding,speccing) is part and parcel of being staff.
Alot of people enjoy hanging around in hosted arenas after the event and playing somthing that apeals to them its often more fun than the event itself.
By abusing (super) powers after a game, its condusive to killing the fun, because alot of people have missed the chance to play , or have specced out of curiosity and join in after to play themselves.

I'm not against staff having fun, they deserve it. Just maybe a lil more reserve in future?

and its THERE job to host games for everyone including ME. ive seen staff events in deathmatch, staff vs world where all staff had super and just owned. that is there time at most. if this is allowed and acceptable behaviour from staff and if we should exspect to be lamed to hell for the staff enjoyment when ever, why dont they do it in normal pub? because no one would play the game!!! ?go tanks when a game isint being hosted or is should be where everyone has equal powers and no one has advantages because they have been granted staff power. why should staff need this time anyway? especially for tanks when they were playing the game! the host today set up the bot then entered and they played the game just like everyone else. they didnt spend loads of time adding and speccing people. if something had gone wrong i doubt it would of been noticed by the member of staff because they were so busy playing anyway.

TW Staff members do not get paid for their time, their "terms of service" does not require them to make the games fair so in theory they can host anything, giving anyone an unfair advantage the whole game. They are required however to host a specific number games a month for the deans with little restriction.

That is a game called Dodge ball in ?go deathmatch, the smods use *ufo and eliminate everyone, kinda like the last standing wins...

I guess no one cares about Pub (it pretty much means you'll get axed... also) and only Mods+ have powers in pubs... Basicly the ER is making the game fair while hosted. I don't see a problem with this, if you bring all of your friends back when the Event Ref is gone you can play it then without disruptions.

If people really liked tanks they'd stay and play but normally without an ER or Mod there, most people don't want to play. This happens in almost all events but you have to admit it's fun to watch thors rain down on ya sometimes . Email complaints@trenchwars.org if you have a personal issue with someone on staff but I don't see anything being done.

Also saying staff dont get paid so let them do it.. they want to be staff, if u chose to do it, u cant then turn around and go, well i dont get paid. For every staffer there are 10 people who would love to take their place, so they are not exactly martyrs.

i saw an advertisement that said staff vs world in ?go deathmatch. there were 2 teams, members of the trenchwars public got 25 deaths each as did staff. staff had super. there was no balls in which to dodge.... there was no last standing person winner. they even hosted it again 5 minutes later saying it would be fairer or something. and it was just the same.

but i dont know half these random people that were playing after every tanks game. its like playing public, so many people that youve never met and played with before. and this lameing puts these people off. as it is when i play after they slowly go anyway. but when the staff do this they go really fast and although i came back when theyd finished no one else would cos they would be busy else where by that time. and now they are going to be less likely to bother comeing back cos they could well get the impression that staff are allowed to give them self super and shield when ever they like and make it really unfair. i dont have a problem with any staff nor do i have a complaint to make. all i want is for staff to take this into consideration they decide that they need to do this.

criticize them for haveing fun? if that ruins my fun and at the same time is lame, then hell im going to criticize all i want. my only aim in posting here is that staff will read this and take my feelings into consideration the next time they decide to go on a lame killing rampage. i didnt want you regulars to come in and nit pick at every little thing i say. but thanks for showing anyway.
