- sits quietly on the bench to let other people play

Is it any wonder when we, as a community, keep 'rewarding' the people who only have game skills and then sit here and ask ourselves why things are the way they are?

Because people build squads to die, when one dies they regroup and restart. Without respect there's going to be nothing left. There's the few who lead a squad based on the qualities you speak of and usually they're ones that learn to grow as a team and do well like whiterabbits, but then again most of the people on whiterabbits are assholes. It's a double standard, arrogance can stand up and build a great basing squad but the people he mainly has are assholes. The system is built so that the biggest assholes get the farthest, look at are SMODS, THE PUSHER either comes across as an asshole or a nice guy, he's got two sides to him. Fuck, if anyone's ever had a conversation with someone on Pallies like project [vi-rus] you'd question ever asking one of them to join a squad.

Not that Pallies are bad, mean, awful people, but Project [V-irus] is a lot different than from when he was on Wrs.

To break it down, out of noted players in this game there are more or less 2 types the way I break it down: good players, and successful players.

Successful players are the ones that do what they have to do to get a good record at the end of the game, to succeed in a match at getting a good ratio, etc. Sometimes it doesn't have to take a lot of in-game type of direct talent, just a lot of patience. MetalKid is good for this example. I got nothing against MetalKid, but his style doesn't take use of too much other than knowing how to position your shots on radar, dodging strays, and patience. But he can and often is really successful in the game, with good ratios, etc.

On the other hand, you have those that belong to the good players section, like Blood, who utilize more talent to perform direct hands-on techniques [cutting the butter with the knife] type shit to get stuff done in the game (getting kills, dodging stuff). - Sirius

It would seem that you haven't watched me in TWL at all. I've changed my style of play as compared to elim now. I stick with the team and rush when, basically, there is no risk to me dying since they shot at another teammate just as I started to rush. As I approach 9 deaths, I switch back over to my pure radar since having .5 a guy for 10 minutes is better than 1 guy for 2 minutes.

My Best player goes to Valiant.

The once leader of TW's oldest squad did everything for the squad and I have yet to hear one bad word said against him. He could have been a very good player had he not spent all his time helping the zone and the squad he run for 6 years.

Valiant may have been a nice guy, good squad leader and staffer, but i doubt many would consider him the best play in trench wars history. Let's be realistic here.
If you had to pick any player to be on your team, who would it be... (at any point in their subspace "career")... i'm guessing it probably would not be valiant. It'd probably be demonfaze, blood, banzi, vihta, sika, domi, jack kiefer ...one of these guys who gets mentioned so much.
